First Visit

The first dental visit is a very precise one and has fewer treatment procedures involved. Your first visit generally involves an introduction to your orthodontist to understand the conditions that your teeth and mouth are in. If your child is visiting our office for the first time, then this is an important event. They should be able to meet our staff in a very friendly and non-threatening way. This will build trust in them, and they will be to receive the treatments in a much better way.

Once your child and Dr. Davillier are familiar with one another, our team will start with the check-up. They would examine your child’s oral condition and look for potential problems in their teeth, gums, jaws, etc. If needed, they would conduct clinical teeth cleaning session with fluoride-based products. Once done, they will discuss some effective tips that will help you to take care of your child’s oral conditions. Some of the highlights of the discussion will include:

  • Good oral hygiene practices and how you can help to keep your child’s oral conditions better
  • The need for fluoride
  • Some habits that should be put to an end like thumb sucking
  • Dental development milestones
  • Proper nutrition
